If you wanted to cut all ties you'd tell me, or you'd tell me nothing at all, so that falling through the vacuum of silence would be like falling down the rabbit hole and finding up down, love hate, whispering screaming. If you wanted you could obliterate the past--you, me, everything--without a single word. Or worse, with just six. If you wanted you could destroy me without any effort at all.
I don't think I'll ever speak again, and I know that is exactly what you wanted.
Y'know, I was never allowed to watch "Alice in Wonderland" as a kid, and I've forgotten about it as an adult. I should go get it and watch it with my kids. It's apparently an important reference in popular literature.
