Inhume.

eclectic asks, What is something you believe in?

I do not have anything to say and I suppose this bothers me into further silence, has me staring at the wall while he stares at me inquisitively. I never said I was unhappy I finally mustered, but I didn't have to say anything for him to know. One look and he could tell, without me having to tell. He is good at that.

We had an argument Thursday night about the one thing I promised myself I wouldn't argue about, but he brought it up and deftly used it as a metaphor for us. Distance, he said. What am I supposed to do? We're boxing each other into corners--the same corner I suspect--but how either one of us will fight our way out is anyone's guess. I suspect I know how he will do it, and I suspect he suspects he knows how I will do it, but when we'll choose to come out swinging I have no clue.

How do you miss someone who is right there for the taking? How do you make promises without saying a word?

I believe I am royally fucked.

  1. Bret Michaels' do-rag is so best.

(And I'm so bummed I missed your message last night-- please say we can get together soon. :) )

  3. Only #4 on Skull Krusher? That's hogwash. If you're going to believe in a hair-band, I suppose you could do worse than Poison. Actually, Ratt leaps immediately to mind, so yes, you could definitely do worse than Poison.

  8. I just love you so huge!

Here's what I think: I think ultimately you believe in yourself, and you believe in the inherent mostly-good-ness of most people, and you believe in the power of lyrics to frame life. And I believe you're not wrong.

  9. Thanks, people. The Block still reigns, so I'm finding this exercise a whole lot more difficult than I expected. Glad someone's getting something out of my banging my head against the wall.
